White House to Sonia Sotomayor critics: Be ‘careful’

“Be Careful?”

Ahem.

It was the Bolsheviks that demanded judges neglect the law and rely on their “revolutionary  consciousness” to decide cases.

Peter Schiff points out: The central government’s Constitution isn’t something that needs to be “interpreted.” It’s not written in Mandarin.  It needs to be enforced. The problem is that judges want to apply their agendas, empathy, and ideology to places they don’t belong. A proper judge needs to be able to hand decisions that enforce the Constitution regardless of how it plays out.

To deny the Constitution is to violate the law.

  1. Over on my Sugar Mountain Farm blog posted about your relatives leaving Vermont in the mid-1800’s and wondered why, if perhaps there were laws.

No laws. Just the weather. There was a Little Ice Age where crops failed for several years. Snow every month of the year. During that time many people left Vermont and headed west. A period of cooling weather is a major disaster, far worse than the worst Global Warming they are predicting.

“It is generally agreed that there were three minima, beginning about 1650, about 1770, and 1850, each separated by slight warming intervals.”

Back in the mid-1990’s we had snow every month of the year here at our farm. It didn’t stick but the frosts killed our gardens. Without Al Gore’s hot air we might have sunk into another Little Ice Age by now. According to the past history we are due for one and they were warning about the return of the Ice Age back in the 1970’s and 1980’s before Global Warming became all the rage.

    Cheers,

    • Thanks for the info, mountain man. I hadn’t heard that reason before. Wisconsin was barely a state in the last of those cold spells, so we don’t have nearly that depth of historical reference.

Agreed, also, on the anthropomorphic global climate change. Funny how their models all ignore solar heat, yet conclude to blame the stewards of Creation.

      Cheers!

  2. Another funny thing about the Global Warming is that according to recent scientific research Mars is also undergoing Global Warming, right along with Earth. No doubt Al Gore has a good explanation of why Mankind is to blame for that as well. 🙂
